Your dual study programme in BWL with the focus on Pflegemanagement will prepare you for a future-oriented career in the healthcare sector. You will immerse yourself in the current challenges and trends of the healthcare market and acquire knowledge in the core areas of care management, including the effective implementation of quality management. You will also gain insights into health economics and the structural framework conditions of the healthcare sector. In the Nursing Controlling module, you will learn how to plan and implement controlling measures. You will also discover promising strategies for the care market. You choose the specialisation modules from the 5th or 6th semester onwards to deepen your knowledge.

You can work in the healthcare sector at local, state or federal level. In health administration at local authority level, for example, you will work in the health department. Your responsibilities here include providing information, education and promoting the health of the population.

In the administration of a care home, you are responsible for the organisation of your care facility and keep an eye on the profitability of the operation. You will draw up business plans, coordinate administrative processes and be responsible for procurement. Your responsibilities often also include personnel and public relations work.
