In the dual study programme at the IU, the practical part is firmly integrated into your studies. You don't work "on the side", but the work is an integral part of your studies. It is important to us that you can optimally combine both sides - the theoretical courses at the IU and the practical phases in the company.

Dual studieren – so wie es zu Deinem Lifestyle passt!
Im dualen Studium an der IU wechselst Du regelmäßig zwischen Theorie und Praxis im Unternehmen. Du studierst dabei die eine Hälfte der Woche und arbeitest in der anderen Hälfte der Woche bei Deinem Praxispartner. Die Theorie findet je nach Studiengang und Studienort in einem unserer beiden Studienmodelle statt:
Duales Studium
Die Theorie wird Dir in Lehrveranstaltungen an zwei Tagen pro Woche vermittelt.
Die Lehrveranstaltungen finden in kleinen Gruppen vor Ort am Campus oder virtuell statt
Du kannst direkt Fragen stellen und Themen aus Deinem Arbeitsalltag besprechen.
Anschließend vertiefst Du die vorgestellten Inhalte mithilfe der Lernmaterialien.
Praxiserfahrung sammelst Du an 20 h/Woche bei einem Unternehmen Deiner Wahl.
Duales myStudium
Die Theorie lernst Du zunächst im Selbststudium mithilfe der Lernmaterialien und unserer Lern-KI Syntea – ganz flexibel, wann es Dir am besten passt.
In regelmäßigen Begleitveranstaltungen vor Ort am Campus oder virtuell kannst Du Fragen klären, um das Gelernte zu vertiefen und auf Deinen Arbeitsalltag anzuwenden.
Praxiserfahrung sammelst Du an 20 h/Woche bei einem Unternehmen Deiner Wahl.

The virtual campus gives you the chance to study independently of location and to complete your practical training at a company near you! You learn the theory in small groups.
